Carters Valley Elementary School is the recipient of a $1,500 grant from TVA John Sevier. The funds were awarded to assist in the school’s playground renovations. Lauren Hartness, from TVA stated, “We are proud to assist Carters Valley with their project. We appreciate the opportunity to assist Hawkins County Schools with these plans.” "Our goal is to utilize these funds to provide much needed upgrades to our current playground by promoting physical health,” said Principal Sauceman. Teacher, Melinda Cannon shared, “This is so exciting for our little school!”
