Topic: The New Bus Routing System

Parents, please know that while we realign bus routes and move to our new routing system, we need your help and patience. This has been a three-year process. All student data we had in our student information system during the summer was used to identify routes and assign drivers. However, as you know, the new school year always brings changes to addresses, phone numbers, late enrollees, and drop off and pick up changes. Please remember, all routes are arranged with priority placed on student safety and route efficiency. Per Board Policy 3.401, “students living within three-tenths (.3) of a mile to an established bus route will be required to walk to said route.” Please call the transportation department with any concerns, questions, or to updates to any student information, especially any address or contact information changes. Our transportation department number is 423-272-7629, ext. 2501 and 2502.
