Hope and help are here! Find Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief Mobile Units with free clothes and shoes: Tuesday, June 3, 10-2 at Cherokee High School and Thursday, June 5, 10-2 at Volunteer High School. All are welcome!
A bulk food bag will be available to parents and guardians of children ages 0 to 18, from 3pm to 5pm on Thursday, May 29th , June 5th, June 12th, and June 19th , at Joseph Rogers Primary and at Volunteer High School’s library entrance. Distribution will be on first come, first served basis until gone. Please do not arrive before 2:45pm due to summer school dismissal traffic. The Special Education Team at Carter’s Valley Elementary has worked tirelessly to make sure all meetings have been kept up to date. They have also done this while making sure their students receive the services and support they need. They constantly go above and beyond to help all students our school. Thank you Ms. Veena, Mr. Needham, Ms. Gobble, and Ms. Britton.
Hawkins County Schools will be distributing meals to children ages 0-18 years on Thursday afternoons during Summer Learning Camp. You can visit Joseph Rogers Primary or Volunteer High School to pick up meals. This is a drive thru event.

Public Notice - Our Private School and notice for disabilities meeting is scheduled for April 17, 2025 at 9:00A.M. at the Special Education Building, 200 North Depot St. Rogersville, TN.
The Hawkins County School District can receive designated funds each year by the federal government to provide service once agreed upon to students who are eligible to receive special education services. These services include students who are currently being homeschooled or attend a private school in Hawkins County and are eligible for Special Education. The Hawkins County district is required to meet with the administrators of private institutions or parents who are currently home schooling their children in order to discuss what services can be provided.
The Hawkins County School District can provide services for special needs children and young adults, age 3 years to 21 years, who reside within the system's district. If you have or know children who are currently not being served, please contact the Hawkins County Special Education Department at 423-272-7629 Ext. 2405
