Child Nutrition During Reopening

While school meals will be offered at no cost to students regardless of ability to pay this school year, it is still vitally important for families to complete the annual application for free or reduced meal benefits. Students enrolled at a CEP school do not need to apply.

Please read the Parent Letter  and the 5 Reasons to Apply  flyer for all the important details.

Thanks to a waiver from USDA, all children ages 0-18 may receive a free breakfast and lunch at all Hawkins County Schools now through the 2020-2021 school year.

Students attending in person may receive their meals at school. Meal pick up for e-learners and community children will be available at all elementary and middle schools Monday through Thursday from 11am until 11:30 am, and Friday from 11:30am - 12:30pm. Pickups at Cherokee and Volunteer high schools from 10:30am - 11:00am, Monday through Thursday and from 11:30am-12:30am on Friday.
