| Study Schedule |
| A. Develop a daily, weekly, and term schedule and try to stick to it.
1. Daily/Weekly Schedule -- How will you spend your time during a given day and week? Be specific about WHAT, WHERE, and HOW LONG you will study. Since this regimen is for an overall schedule, remember to record extra-curricular and social activities as well as academic studies. 2. Nine Weeks Schedule -- What are the important dates? Write in a red (or other colored) ink the due dates for quizzes, compositions, oral and written exams, and major papers. Adjust your daily-weekly schedule to give adequate time for preparation to prevent rushed and/or crammed efforts. |
| B. Recognize that success in learning takes effort and that you may have to give up some other activities at times to do well in your studies. |
| C. Plan to study during times that you know are best for you; i.e., when you are rested or when you will experience the fewest interruptions. |
| D. Schedules are flexible and/or adjustable. If the first one does not work, determine why and make adjustments. |
| E. Establish regular study habits and try to study the same subject in the same location at the same time each week. |
| F. Prioritize your subjects or the material to be studied so that you begin studying what is most difficult or least liked and end with what is easiest or best liked. |

G. Follow your schedule as closely as possible, but realize that at times circumstances may prevent you from following it exactly. However, you need to return to the schedule as soon as possible after a deviation. |
