I had a real love for French in high school and I wanted other people to learn about it. What is the most challenging part about teaching? It is difficult to motivate those students who aren't interested in learning anything. As a teacher, what are the most important qualities that a student should possess to achieve success? A student should posess a will to push one's self; to srudy to one's own outside of class. Your advice to the upcoming freshman: Choose your friends wisely; surrounding yourself with good people makes it easier for you to be good. What class or classes do you teach and what will the class be studying and learning? French I- intro to French language- written, spoken. French II- more into French and the French culture. Drama- Improvisation, voice, and play production. How much and what kinds of homework can your students expect? Most of our work is done in class. Students will need to take notes and study at home fot tests. Special projects that will be completed throughout semester: In drama class we usually do a play. In French we do family tree project and projects for Mardi Gras. What is the best way for your students to communicate with you? Students can come by and see me or send me an email through the school website Do you offer tutoring? If yes, when and where? If needed, after school, 20-30 min. per week Other Comments: Volunteer High School is a great place. You must have a positive attitude! Pitch in and help whenever you can. Have a "Volunteer" attitude and it will be a smooth year for you. Stay in touch with your big brother or big sister for advice! |
