Meet Mrs. Smith!
Hello! My name is Amanda Smith, and I'm one of the
4th grade teachers here at Surgoinsville Elementary. This is my
eleventh year teaching. I went to college at Walters State
Community College (Associates Degree), ETSU (Bachelors
Degree), Tusculum (Masters Degree), and LMU (Ed.S. Degree).
I come from a family of teachers, and I have always known
that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Every day is
definitely an adventure!
I'm married and have a 7 year old son named Austin and
a 5 year old daughter named Ashleigh. I just recently got into
photography. I like to read and listen to music. I also like to
spend time with my family and watch movies. I enjoy doing
things outdoors during the spring and summer. I love the beach
and all animals. I especially love guinea pigs and turtles! I like UT
football during the fall (and CHS- where I went to high school!)
and the holidays during the winter.
