1st time- Warning
2nd time- 1/2 of playtime will be structured
3rd time- All of playtime will be structured
4th time- Office referral
**Other severe behavior will be dealt with accordingly.
**Participation in field trips will be based on student behavior.
BEST Bucks will be given for perfect attendance, AR goals, and good behavior!
-Good behavior
-Good grades and test scores
-Achieving AR goal for the 6 weeks
-Returning things on time
-Class activities
-Good character
Please check and sign your child's homework planner every night. This is where homework will be recorded, as well as any notes or comments from Mrs. Spears. Please do not sign ahead. This is also a way for you to make sure that your child is getting any homework done on time.
Work not turned in policy:
I understand that students miss work when they are absent (and if several days are missed, they may get behind). This is understandable, and I will work with the student in these instances to get them caught up.
Any homework that is assigned is due the next morning (unless directed otherwise). Students will be allowed one "no homework" per 6 weeks without penalty. Otherwise, if homework is not turned in, the student will do it at the end of the day during intervention. Whatever does not get completed, will be counted wrong and this is the grade that will be given. Again, if there are special circumstances for why homework is not turned in (emergencies, etc.), I will understand and work with the student to allow more time. Please send a note in these cases.
Each Monday, I will send home your child's packet of work they've turned in from the previous week along with a Week in a Peek. This newsletter will tell you topics for the week, homework, and announcements.
