Student Expectations:
Rule 1. Be ready:

Students
are in classroom and seated on time.
bring all needed materials (books, pencils, red pen, paper, subject folder, finished work, etc.)
Rule 2. Be Responsible:

Students
pay attention, listen, and follow directions
keep track of assignments and keep work in their subject folder
complete all work assignments & turn them in on time
return parent notes and Weekly Folder as assigned
Rule 3. Be Respectful:

Students
walk quietly in and out of the classroom
follow all directions
use kind words when speaking
raise their hand and wait to be called on before speaking
refrain from interrupting others

Materials List 2009--2010
1. several #2 wooden pencils
2. erasers
3. individual pencil sharpeners, not battery operated
4. several red pens
5. a 1½ inch 3-ring binder (to hold your notebook paper)
6. wide-rule notebook filler paper
(Please do not buy college-rule and no spiral notebooks.)
7. 1 roll of paper towels
8. 1 box of tissues
9. 1 box of colored pencils or markers
10. pencil box or pouch
11. 1 ruler, metric and inch
12. (6th grade only) 4 solid red pocket folders & 3 solid blue pocket folders;
(7th grade only) 2 solid green pocket folders, 2 solid blue pocket folders,
& 3 solid red pocket folders
13. 1 composition book
14. one calculator that is kept at home
(We have calculators for use in the classroom.)
It is imperative that all students bring these materials to class every day. Pens and pencils will need to be replaced throughout the year as needed. Items such as rulers and pencil sharpeners may need to be replaced if the student loses or breaks the originals.
Optional items: scissors, water bottle (highly recommended)
