Hello! This is a brief history of me, Beth Wallace.
I
grew up in Northeast Ohio. After graduating from Avon Lake High
School in 1971, I attended Ashland CoIlege for one year
and then
transferred to Arizona State University in Tempe,
Arizona. I graduated in 1976 with
a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities. I moved to the beautiful Clinch
Valley community in 1979. After working for a short time as
an instructional aide at Clinch School, I realized that I wanted to be a
full time teacher. I enrolled at Lincoln Memorial University where
I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Before landing a teaching job, I worked for several years as a group
home counselor at Holston Home
for Children in Greeneville, TN.My first teaching assignment was in Gwinnett County, Georgia. But after just one year in Georgia I was able to come back "home". I have been teaching at Clinch School since the fall of 1989 . . . 23 years!!
Outside of school some of my favorite things are : music festivals, visiting friends, working in the flower and veggie gardens, and hanging out with "the family".
