 My Teaching Career

I've been teaching in Hawkins County for 32 years.  I love learning and I love my job.  Clinch School is a great place to work. 

In my years at Clinch School classes taught range from
 

reading and language arts in grades five through eight, general business, business math, typewriting, keyboarding, computer applications and personal computing in high school. 

Before coming to Clinch I taught 1st grade at St. Clair Elementary, 2nd grade at Bulls Gap, and was librarian at St. Clair/Mooresburg, and librarian at Mt. Carmel Elementary. 
 

Education and Degrees

• Doctorate of Education - 1997 (E.T.S.U.) in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.  My doctoral dissertation was a study of The Relationship between Social Support and Professional Burnout among Public Secondary School Teachers in Northeast Tennessee.

• Master's Degree - 1987 (E.T.S.U.) Library Media Services.

• B.S. Degree - 1976 (E.T.S.U.) Business Education.  I added elementary teaching certification by taking classes from Walters State, E.T.S.U. and Union College in 1977.

• A.S. Degree - 1974 (Walter's State Community College) Secretarial Science

• High School Diploma- 1972 Bulls Gap High School

• St. Clair Elementary - Grades 1 - 8
