Rules

Consequences

At any time depending on the action, the following consequences may be skipped and students may be sent to the office with an office referral.  For example:  a fight or disrespecting me

  1. Stay in seat and be prepared (students should be on time, be in their assigned seats, have their books open, pencils sharpened, and ready to learn at the beginning of class).

A verbal warning (I will tell students that they have a warning for the rule that they are disobeying)
  1. No talking (students will have the chance to talk but should remain quiet until told otherwise, and students should always hold up their hand when needing something).

A writing assignment ( I will give students a sheet they must copy; depending on the students attitude and actions, this will determine the amount of times they must write; also parents must sign at the bottom).

  1. No eating or drinking (this includes chewing gum, or candy)

A doubled writing assignment ( If A student doesn’t have their writing assignment on time, I will double it).  *Note after a student has done this too many times, I will not double it, I will go straight to the next rule.
  1. Respect yourself and others (students should keep their hands and feet to themselves, and students should listen when others are speaking).

A detention (This is held after school from 3:05-4:05.  Parents will be contacted when it is given, and then will receive another notice about when their student will attend the detention because detentions are scheduled) *Note If a student misses a detention, the student will be given ISS by the principal or vice principal.  If there is a scheduling conflict, you will need a parent or guardian to contact the teacher who schedules the detention.  It is the parent’s responsibility to pick up their child from detention at 4:05
  1. Be on task (students should work on their assignments and always make an effort to learn).

Office Referral (Students will be sent to the office to receive punishment)
  1. No mischief (students should not throw objects, they should not litter, they should not play with items because they can be confiscated if caught, and they should keep negative remarks to themselves).

A Classroom Agreement

Students will sign this statement for my class, and I have made a signed statement also.

  1. Complete assignments (students will fill out an Oops form if they do not have their assignments to explain why they did not do it, they will sign it, and date it).  (After 3 Oops are filled out, students will receive a detention and they will also receive zeros for each of the incomplete homework assignments.)
