Daily Classroom Activities

Note to Parents: The weekly syllabus can change at the discretion of the teacher. Students are responsible for recording classroom activities on their daily agenda sheet located in their binder. Classroom work that is not finished during the day will become homework.

****A daily language review or “DLR” is used each day to reinforce our grammar skills and word meanings.

3. Journal Time: “Who Am I” *You will write a five paragraph report describing yourself.

Projects

Book Report Due Dates

     You will be required to participate in four book reports during the school year. The following due dates have been provided to allow you the necessary time to read. The guidelines for each book report will be given to you as they are assigned. Please read chapter books that are on your reading/grade level. If uncertain, please discuss book with Mrs. Harless for approval.  REMINDER: You are not allowed to use a book that has been made into a movie (i.e. Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlotte ’s Web, Hoot, How to Eat Fried Worms , etc.).

 Next Report:

April 29th  - Whose Life Is It Anyway?

(Dramatic interpretation using a biography or autobiography)  

We will be presenting in class on May 1st and 2nd!
