Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year 2008

Congratulations to Mrs. Donna Shanks, 3rd grade teacher!  Mrs. Shanks received a globe for her classroom, $100 gift card for her classroom and $1,000 grant was presented to Hawkins Elementary School on behalf of Mrs. Shanks.   Mrs. Shanks and her students also enjoyed the refreshments provided by Wal-Mart.   Each student also received a pencil box with supplies. Thank you Wal-Mart!!  Mrs. Shanks would like to send a huge THANKS to her students who nominated her for this honor.  Again,  HES says THANK YOU to Wal-Mart.  What a pleasant and unexpected way to start the day!
