Abraham Lincoln Visit   

 Abraham Lincoln and his wife (Dick and Jill Burdette, community volunteers) visited Mrs. Begley's 3rd grade class recently.  Mrs. Lincoln read the story, Abe Lincoln's Hat by Martha Brenner, to the students.   Each student received a copy of the Gettysburg Address (and the copies were stored safely in Abe's hat) from Abe.  Students are shown with their individualized bookmarks that they received from Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln.   Each bookmark included a penny with the individual student's  birthyear.  A great big THANKS to Mr. and Mrs. Burdette!
