Tasting Seaweed! |

Mrs. Begley's 3rd grade students sampled
tasting seaweed after reading the story in their reading book,
Good-Bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong by Frances Park and Ginger Park,
award-winning authors. This realistic fiction story, which
tells a story about a girl who moves from Korea to Massachusetts,
prompts students to consider challenges anyone faces when moving to a
different country and experiencing a different culture. Mrs.
Begley and her students would like to express their thanks to Mrs. L.
Rogers of Bristol for volunteering to provide the packaged seaweed.
Thanks Mrs. Rogers! Students, you might want to read another book by Frances and Ginger Park.....check out the award-winning book from the Hawkins Elementary Library, The Royal Bee , by these authors (and be sure to read the authors' note in the front of the book - wow!).
