The Shepherd's Center is accepting applications for "Christmas for the Children" Christmas assistance.  To qualify, applicants must bring proof of residence and income, and bring eligible children's ages and birth dates.  Open to children ages birth through 13 years.  Interviews are being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays during September and October at The Shepherd's Center in Rogersville.  Deadline is November 15th.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree is taking applications for Christmas Assistance.  Application times are October 6th - 10th, 2008 from 9:00am to 6pm.  Also Saturday, October 11th from 10am to 2pm.  Please bring picture id, social security cards for all household members, custody papers if you are legal or court appointed guardian.  Proof of income including food stamps, AFDC, WIC, proof of all monthly bills.
