NJROTC: The Last Competition
By: Jessica Larkin
The Volunteer High School NJROTC competed in their last competition of the season. This competition was held at The Natural Tunnel State Park on Saturday April 5th, 2008. Even though this competition was orienteering only, the cadets came out with 1st overall! Ian Smith received 1st in men, Rachel Huckaby placed 1st in women and with 2nd place in women was Ashley Pool.
It seems as though everything is coming to an end now. Graduation is just around the corner. The NJROTC students are very pleased with their amazing season. Yes, they are sad to see it go. Who wouldn’t be? But the promise of the next season is going to keep them working hard! Great Job Falcons!!
Garden

The Special Education Department made our school more beautiful during
the warm weather by making a garden. A special thanks to U.S. Fence for
donating the fencing, Mike Thacker for installing the fence,
Cornett’s Co-Op, and Silver Lake Garden Center for donating plastic and
mulch for the flower bed.
Talent Show

Students show off their talent for the VHS student body during the talent show.
