The mission statement for the Hawkins County Child Nutrition Program is:

• To provide Child Nutrition employees with positions that are challenging, rewarding, and that offer programs for continuous personal growth with the local school system.
  
• To provide the school district and the local school board with a food service program that meets the goals and objectives of the system. To provide a food service program that is self- supporting and that supports the entire educational system.
