| Hello, my name is Ms. Gehman and I teach 5th through 8th Grade art classes here at Surgoinsville Middle. Creating art, and viewing art have always been my passion since I was a young child. However, even more important to me than those, is my passion to teach art to children. I graduated in 1999 from Western Kentucky University with my Undergraduate Degree in graphic design and then graduated with my Master's Degree in Art Education from East Tennessee State University in 2003. Since the Fall of 2003, I have taught at several other schools throughout Hawkins County with this school year being my 7th. I have taught art to all grades kindergarten through 8th grade. I work to allow each child in my art class to be able to express their thoughts and feelings and develop skill while creating beautiful works of art for an aesthetic quality. |
