7th Grade Language Arts Newsletter
August/September
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to a new year at Church Hill Middle School! We look forward to working with you this year. We will periodically email a newsletter giving you a general overview of what is going on in our 7th grade language arts classes. Hopefully, this information will be helpful to each of you. For more specific information, we encourage you to visit our classroom websites and check the calendars in students’ language arts binders.
Thank you,
Ginger Little

We have started our weekly reading logs. This week students are responsible for reading 35 minutes outside of class and getting their log signed by an adult. Next week, they will be responsible for reading 50 minutes outside of class. This will be the amount that they will read weekly this year. Students can read anything that they would like for their log. Encourage your student to read a variety of things: newspapers, magazines, fictional books, and nonfiction books.
