7th Grade Language Arts

Week of  May 7th: 

Monday 5/7:  extra credit reading log due; Esperanza Rising reading and discussion; project activity 1:  A Birthday at El Rancho de las Rosas

Tuesday 5/8: Character traits in Esperanza Rising;vocabulary crossword puzzle; project activity 2:  Immigrating to the United States

Wednesday 5/9: Esperanza Rising; project activity 3:  A Day in the Life of Farm Laborers

Thursday 5/10:   Esperanza Rising; project activity 4:  Taking an Inventory of the Novel

Friday 5/11:   Esperanza Rising; become a character; social issues in-class essay

Please turn in any books belonging to Mrs. Little or any CHMS library books as soon as possible--those owing a library obligation will not be allowed to attend SWPBS day.

Reading logs will be offered for extra credit only for the remainder of the year.

For the rest of the school year, we will be reading the novel Esperanza Rising as a class and working on related activities.  Students should not have much homework at all as we are working on this unit.
