My name is Jeff Smith and I am a native of the bluegrass region of  Kentucky. I have been living in Tennessee for the past 14 years  and have taught at Volunteer High School all of that time.

I taught in Kentucky for 5 years prior to coming to Tennessee. In the  past I have taught classes in Computer Applications, Chemistry, Physics, Principles Of Technology, ACT Prep, Adult Basic Education in Computers, and Teacher Inservices in computer applications.

I have a Bachelor’s of Chemical Engineering from Auburn University,  Bachelor’s of Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University, Education Certificate from Eastern Kentucky University, Minors in Physics,  Computer Science, and Mathematics. I also have a Masters of Education  Degree in Educational Leadership from Union College.

In addition to teaching I do engineering consulting work for an internationally known speaker manufacturer and have done special research projects for a local chemical company.
