Welcome to the Photo Gallery of student work! Bet you didn't know math could be so fun!!

This is called kirigami or "the art of folding and cutting paper." It was created by my Algebra 1B students in Spring 2007.

These are three of the toothpick bridges built by students in my Technical Geometry class in Fall 2008. The wooden blocks were part of how we tested these bridges for strength. The bridge on the right was built by Josh McCracken and Sarah Smith and held over 10 pounds!

These are more examples of student artwork from my Geometry class in Spring 2007.

Students in my fall 2008 classes graphed their names on a coordinate plane and reflected the image in the y-axis and then in the x axis. The result was amazing!
Here are some close up:

These names are (clockwise from top left) Gina, Ashley, Deanna, Alexa, and Harrell.

These interesting items are called kaleidocycles and are created from a single sheet of paper and help us study reflections. Once assembled, they can rotate in on themselves continuously. Pretty cool! They were made by technical geometry students in fall 2008.
