St. Clair Elementary School had a Family Literacy Night on December 19, 2013. At this event, students and families had the opportunity to create a take-home family time capsule. Families completed activities including: A Message to Our Family, Current Events of 2013, The Cost of..., When I grow upThe World Around Me, and took family portraits. Students also chose a free book to take home while enjoying hot cocoa and cookies. Additional information about the new Common Core Standards were provided to parents. Over 150 students and family members were in attendance.
